What is Suddenlee?

Suddenlee is a shopping platform that provides online shoppers with next day delivery from all their favorite stores in New York City in a single box.

How many retailers can you purchase from?

You can purchase from any number of retailers. Purchases from the first two stores are included in our standard rate table and it’s just $2.50 for each additional store.

How does the platform work with retailers?

All orders are made through Suddenlee. Once an order is placed, we make the purchase from each respective retailer, package everything together and ship it for guaranteed delivery the next day. You receive all the original sales receipts and you pay just one low service fee that includes delivery.

Why does Suddenlee only service select areas?

In order to meet our next day delivery guarantee and keep our service fee as low as possible, we carefully select our shopping locations and our customer service area. Currently, we service the Northeast US with our next day service. Our exact coverage area can be viewed here. We hope to expand to other parts of the country with our affordable next day service soon! In the meantime, see the next question for information regarding service outside the Northeast.

I live outside your Northeast service area, but I would still like to use your service to make purchases from multiple stores or from stores that aren't available in my area. Can you shop for me?

For a small additional shipping fee, we’re able to ship to the remainder of the contiguous United States with a 2-6 day delivery option.Please reference our service fee page for more details on delivery times and costs. We hope to be able to provide affordable next day service in your area soon!

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to ship to addresses outside the United States.

What payment types do you accept?

Suddenlee accepts all major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal.

When do I need to place my order by for next day delivery?

All orders need to be placed Monday through Friday by 1:00 pm (Eastern) to be eligible for next day delivery. Orders placed after that time will be processed during the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered by the next Tuesday thereafter.

How do you know if the item that I want is in stock?

In most cases, we won't know that an item is definitely available until we get to the store. Our shoppers and shopping experts will do their best to locate the items you request, but sometimes items are in such limited supply that we aren't able to locate them. After giving each request our best attempt at purchase, we'll send you an email by 5pm to confirm the status of each item requested. You will only be charged for the items we purchase for you and their applicable service fee.

Why can I only order items that are available in stores?

Suddenlee acquires your items from physical store locations, so “online only” merchandise can only be purchased directly from the retailer's website.

Can I use discount codes that are available only online from the retailers I shop?

Suddenlee purchases your items in store, so online only products, prices and discounts are not applicable. We will purchase your items at the lowest price available in-store and will pass along any savings we receive to you.

Can you find clearance items or deeply discounted sale merchandise?

We'll do our best, but these items are often in limited supply and can be impossible to find in stores.

Can I cancel my order?

All orders can be canceled up until 10am ET on the day the order is scheduled to be processed (i.e. the day before delivery). After 10am, items are purchased to fulfill all orders and cancellation is not permitted.

What if I need to return my purchase(s)?

You can either return the items to your local store with the receipt that was enclosed in your shipment or we will e-mail you a return shipping label we can return the item(s) for you for $5.99 (+ any out of area fee) to cover shipping.

What is the tax rate for my purchase?

Suddenlee makes purchases in New York City. When an order is submitted, we place a hold on the payment type for an estimated tax rate of 8.875%. The final charge will reflect the actual sales tax that was paid on each item. Clothing and footwear items priced under $125 are not taxable in New York City.

What happens if my shipment does not arrive the next day?

All orders that are placed by 1pm and that we confirm by 5pm are guaranteed for delivery to you the next day if you live in our next day service area. Please contact us if your order doesn’t arrive on time and we will provide you with a refund of our entire service fee. Note: If a delivery attempt is made by UPS or FedEx and you are not available to receive the package, you are not eligible for a refund. Please be sure to provide us with a delivery address that you will be available at the next day.

Can you ship to international addresses?
